Intramuscular Electrical Stimulation – Live

After completing the Myopain Seminars online IMES course, clinicians can improve their practical skills in using IMES in clinical practice. After a brief review of pertinent information from the online IMES course, students will learn evidence-based practical skills and recommended IMES approaches. The course IMES treatments for all major regions of the body, including the head and neck, the shoulders and arm, the thoracic and scapular muscles, the lumbopelvic region, the anterior and posterior hip muscles, and the leg, ankle and foot muscles.

This course has been approved by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for 1.25 CEUs." (12.5 contact hours)

Upon completion of the course, learners will;

• Understand the physiological effects of IMES on the neuromuscular system
• Understand the individual stimulation parameters of IMES
• Understand clinical reasoning for the selection of IMES parameters
• Be able to safely adminster IMES to different regions in the body
