Description
MTT-1 covers 70 muscles that Czech neurophysiologist, Vladimir Janda, considered to be tonic muscles, i.e., muscles tending to become short and tight.
MTT-2 covers another 70 muscles, which Dr. Janda considered ‘phasic’, tending towards inhibition and weakness. At the end of the MTT-1 and MTT-2 courses, students will take a practical competency test.
MTT-1 and MTT-2 are prerequisites for MTT-3. MTT-3 covers 30 muscles of the neck, cranium, jaw and face on day 1, a review of all the theory and practical resources on Day 2 and theoretical and practical examinations on day 3. In this intensive training program over 170 muscles of the body are addressed.
The textbook Myofascial Trigger Points by Drs. Jan Dommerholt and Peter Huijbregts is required for all courses. The book can be ordered directly from Myopain Seminars or purchased elsewhere. The Muscle Manual book by Nikita Vizniak is strongly recommended and can be purchased at the workshops or from regular booksellers.
The Manual Trigger Point Therapy (MTT) program is a three-course program: MTT-1, MTT-2, MTT-3
